Internship Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Perform administrative support for VP of Operation and Senior Project Management. This will entail work involving CAD Drafting, AIA requisition billing, Change Order support, submittal process, Request for Information (RFI’s) from Owner’s/Architects and etc. This will require the individual candidate to work independently with minimal supervision requiring a can-do attitude in a fast pace and ever changing environment depending on company priorities. 

Candidate will have the opportunity to work together with both the VP of Operations and the Senior PM of the organization who have over 60 years combined construction experience. Our team offers a diverse background in the construction industry ranging from Bridge construction to estimating large projects in the Commercial General Contracting Environment as well as the vast knowledge base and experience within the Specialty Contracting world that Blue Line Drywall performs.


Key Tasks:

  • Assist with shop drawings for coordination and submittals if experienced in CAD software.
  • Assist with Architectural Glass division with take-offs
  • AIA Billing and Tracking
  • Change Orders (creation, submission and logging)
  • Create Vendor Purchase Orders and Expedite out various materials and services
  • Support Foremen in the field with varying technical information such as Details of fire rated (UL) assemblies, Product literature, plan distribution, subcontractor payroll reports, ordering of materials and fasteners, etc.

Required/Desired Skills /Qualifications:

  • Preferred one year experience in construction related field
  • Engineering field of study preferred 

Computer skills- advanced in Excel, AutoCad experience or equivalent CAD program would be beneficial, basic accounting software

Candidate will at times be required to represent Blue Line Drywall by attending onsite contractor meetings as needed to ascertain status of work progress and report back to management.

Other: Bi-lingual in Spanish would be beneficial
