Responsibilities
- Owner of all shipping, logistics and in-house inventory management
- Coordinate deliveries with customers and jobsites
- Coordinate national and international freight traffic and costs with third party brokers
- Request, review and evaluate vendor quotes to provide the company with strategic savings with third party brokers
- Maintain accurate tracking and schedules of freight/shipping schedules
- Maintain internal systems for shipping, loading, and invoicing
- Work with production to ensure scheduled material is on target for delivery dates
- Other department duties as required by Management
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- 3-5 years' experience in a purchasing/logistics position preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel - Experience in manufacturing, construction materials, glass, or industrial distribution strongly preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Strong command of the English language
- Must be HIGHLY organized. Able to organize import schedules and work through time constraints
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
